Hoover Dam: American Experience
During the Great Depression, this dam project draws men desperate for work to a remote canyon near Las Vegas, Nevada. They struggle against brutal heat, choking dust and perilous heights to build a colossus of concrete that brings electricity and water to millions. It transforms the American Southwest and Idaho's Morrison-Knudsen Co., which is part of the construction consortium that builds it.G
