Megan McCormick begins her visit in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, where she samples the exotic cuisine. She tries stilt fishing at Weligama, visits a Buddhist temple in Matara, explores a topaz mine near Ratnapura, tours an elephant orphanage in Pinjnewala, and takes part in Esala Perahera, Sri Lanka's biggest festival. Her trip ends on Dhangethi, one of the spectacular Maldive Islands, where she encounters exotic tropical fish and lush foliage. G
