These are some of the shows we're working on.
1. Helping Henry's
From trumpeter swans singing in the snow to bull elk bugling in the fall, see a landscape cherished by many and protected by even more. Outdoor Idaho's newest show out of eastern Idaho profiles the prized Henry's Fork in every season. Airs May 15, 2014.
2. Inspired by Nature
We've got em, in all their glory, these masters of canvas and other mediums. From wood, glass, paint, feathers, and bones, oh my! Airs in 2014.
3. Never Say Quit 3
The third in a series of older citizens who continue to impress. Airs in 2014.
There will be steep canyons, lots of rappelling, and more, as we head to the Owyhees and some of the best canyons in the West. Airs in October of 2014.
5. 50 Years of Wilderness
Idaho's designated wilderness areas -- from the Selway-Bitterroot and the Frank Church to the Owyhee Canyonlands -- are the direct result of the 1964 Wilderness Act. After 50 years, what have we learned, and is there a better way? In this hour-long exploration, we'll examine some of the benefits and conflicts inherent in setting aside huge tracts of land where "man is but a visitor who does not remain." Airs in December of 2014.
6. Idaho Search & Rescue
People are always getting lost, or hurt in the outdoors. Luckily, there are others who love to find them. Sometimes it works out; sometimes it doesn't. Airs in 2015.
We go underground, to Papoose Cave, for a unique take on the state's geology. Airs in 2015.
8. Jobs With a View
Not everybody works at a desk. We profile folks whose jobs take them to extraordinary outdoor places, or who work with interesting creatures, or whose passions preserve Idaho's outdoor heritage. Airs in 2015.
9. Off the Grid
Interesting people from all walks of life who are trying to live 'off the grid.' Airs in 2015.
10. Ghost Towns that refuse to die
Silver City, Atlanta, Idaho City -- they have managed to reinvent themselves over the years, in strange and wonderful ways. Airs in 2015.
11. Bear Lake
A slice of Idaho that most of us never seem to get to. Too bad, 'cuz there's a lot going on in southeastern Idaho. Airs in 2015.
Other shows we're thinking about:
Lost River Range
Lake Pend Oreille
Idaho's Endowment Lands
