Help students gain a greater understanding of a culture and region of the world that is different from their own. The series is designed to encourage students to look more closely at their own culture as well as to identify the similarities and differences that exist among cultures.

Cameroon: Sometimes referred to as Africa in Miniature, it is a land of great geographic and cultural contrast. Focuses on daily life in Cameroon as experienced by Peace Corps Volunteers who live and work in the communities of Andek, Ambam, and Bogo.

Honduras: Draw upon the experiences of the Peace Corps Volunteers to explore the culture, geography and history of an important Central American neighbor. These people touch our lives almost everyday in some surprising ways.

Lesotho: Close up study of the mountain kingdom. A developing nation surrounded by an industrialized power, Lesotho is both anomaly among nations and at the same time a symbol of the geographical and cultural dynamics at work in almost every land.

Marshall Islands: introduces students to both the geography and culture of a country in which Peace Corps Volunteers serve. This tape was produced by a group of World Wise Students. Created a music video called together we can and sent it to the leaders

Sri Lanka: Takes you halfway around the world to the island country that was once known as Ceylon. Located just off the southeastern coast of India where the maritime trade winds meet, Sri Lanka is a natural crossroads for commerce, culture and religion
