On June 30, 2009, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting awarded Idaho Public Television the My Source Community Impact Award for Engagement for "Idaho Legislature Live."
"Idaho Legislature Live" is a collaboration with Legislative Services and the Idaho Department of Administration that provides gavel-to-gavel legislative coverage on-air, on-line and in-person. Major operational funding for 2009 "Idaho Legislature Live" was made possible by the Idaho State Broadcasters Association with additional support from Union Pacific Railroad and the Idaho Public Television Endowment.
During the 2009 Idaho legislative session, "Idaho Legislature Live" connected more than 76,000 users to gavel-to-gavel coverage of the Idaho House, Senate and Joint Finance–Appropriations Committee.
